Doula offerings

This offering is for families wanting steady, consistent support through pregnancy, labour and birth.
During your pregnancy we will have 2 × 2 hour visits in your home.
First visit
This visit is a chance for myself, you and your partner (and any of your children in tow) to meet and be in the same space together, perhaps for the first time. We’ll get to know each other, we’ll talk through your pregnancy so far, your thoughts around birth and anything that’s happening in the background for you.There is space for:
• General birth education
• Talking through any gaps of uncertainties
• Sharing resources if neededNothing too heavy, just a starting point.
Second visit
This is where we will get more specific.We map out your labour and birth in a practical way so that you have a clearer sense of what things might look like and how you want to move through them.
We will:
• Work through your preferences
• Talk through different scenarios
• Practice techniques to support you through contractions
• Help your partner to feel more confident in their roleThroughout pregnancy, you’ll also have:
• Unlimited phone and text support
• Access to my book library
• Support with postpartum planning and gathering your villageBirth
From 38 week, I am on call and available for you until your baby arrives.When labour begins, you don’t have to second guess when to reach out, you just do.
I join you when you need me.
Support during labour can look like:
• Hands on comfort and physical support
• Access to my birth kit including combs, Birth Sling, essential oils
• Helping you stay grounded and focussed
• Supporting your partner so they aren’t trying to figure it all our of their own
• Holding space for you
• After the birth of your baby I will stay as long as you need to get settled, sooner if your family is ready for some private time
• Placenta print on watercolour paper (optional)Postpartum
Once your baby is here, I’ll visit you at home for a postpartum session (around 2 hours).This is a chance to:
• Talk through your birth and make sense of it
• Be supported as you settle into those early days
• Have an extra set of hands where neededInvestment

Attendance at hospital appointments/ultrasounds
$50 per appointment -
This offering is a 3 hour in home visit once you have had your baby, within the first six weeks.
The support you may want or need may differ from day to day, however it may look like:
• Light cleaning
• Meal preparation
• A slow cooked meal for your fridge or freezer stash (3-4 serves)
• Care for your baby so you can do anything you want or need (ie. take a bath, nap, spending time with older siblings or going for a solo walk)
• Debriefing your birth and any feelings you may have
• Breast/bottle feeding support
• Baby sleep and settling support
• Emotional support
